ENERGY CLUB

Renewable Energy Initiatives at Government College Bilaspur

In a concerted effort towards sustainability and harnessing renewable energy, Government College Bilaspur has established an Energy Club aimed at promoting eco-friendly practices and reducing carbon footprint. As part of this initiative, the college has implemented the following projects:

  1. Grid-Connected Solar Plant: A 25 KWP (Kilowatt Peak) grid-connected solar plant has been successfully installed, with an investment of Rs. 65,000. This solar plant serves as a crucial component in meeting the college's power requirements while significantly reducing reliance on conventional energy sources.
  2. Solar Street Lights: To illuminate the college campus with clean energy, 13 solar street light units have been strategically installed. These units, amounting to Rs. 199,628, not only enhance safety and visibility but also exemplify the college's commitment to utilizing renewable energy sources for its infrastructure needs.

These initiatives underscore our dedication to environmental stewardship and sustainable development. By embracing renewable energy solutions, the college not only reduces its carbon emissions but also sets a positive example for its students and the community at large. The Energy Club continues to spearhead innovative projects aimed at creating a greener and more sustainable future for all.
